The Ogun State Police Command said it has arrested a teenage herder, identified only as Mohammed.
He was arrested while hiding in a forest with an AK-47 rifle.
The state Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi, disclosed this in a statement on Wednesday.
Oyeyemi said the suspect was arrested following information received by the Imeko Divisional Police Officer that two young Fulani herdsmen were seen with arms at the CAC Oha Forest, Iwoye-Ketu, in the Imeko-Afon Local Government Area.

Oyeyemi said the state Commissioner of Police, Edward Ajogun, had ordered the immediate transfer of the suspect to the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department for discreet investigation.
“The Commissioner of Police also directed that the entire forest be properly combed with a view to apprehending other members of his gang,” he added.
