EKO HOT BLOG reports the Ogun State Police Command conducted a routine patrol in Ifo Local Government Area, resulting in the arrest of three individuals for reportedly selling Indian hemp.

Olashile Mustapha, Babatunde Ahmed, and Gbenga Adekanbi, the apprehended suspects, attempted to evade arrest by fleeing upon spotting the police patrol van but were pursued and detained by the anti-robbery squad.
These individuals were linked to notorious gang members, Oloyo and Surulere, known for creating terror in the community before their apprehension.
During the arrest, a significant quantity of substance suspected to be Indian hemp was discovered on the suspects, leading to their immediate detention.
Police Public Relations Officer, Omolola Odutola, confirmed the arrests and mentioned that after completing a preliminary investigation, the suspects would be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department in Abeokuta for prosecution.

This incident follows recent police actions, including the arrest of a suspected Indian hemp kingpin, Muhammad Ismail, in Katsina State, where 46 bags of Indian hemp and other illicit substances were seized, leading to further investigations by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency.
