Police have arrested trigger-happy officer who killed truck driver in Osun state.
EKO HOT BLOG reports that the Osun State Police Command has arrested and detained trigger-happy officer who killed truck driver in Osogbo, the state capital.
This online media had earlier reported that the policeman on patrol on Friday allegedly shot and killed the victim at Otaefun area in Osogbo over a minor argument.

The victim, who was identified as Kabir Babai, worked as truck driver at Shekeenah Zelter Global concept LTD in the state capital.
Another operator, Harrisu Adamu, was reportedly shot by the policeman but he did not die.
Spontaneous protests were staged by residents who were joined by angry youths to protest against the killing of the man.
The angry protesters blocked the Osogbo/ Ikirun road around Otaefun/Kobo area causing heavy traffic
The protesters also tried to march to the Police station located along Ota-Efun but were resisted by policemen who shot sporadically for several minutes in order to ward them off.
Meanwhile, giving an update on the incident on Saturday, the Spokesperson to the State police command, SP Opalola Yemisi said:”The Osun State Police Command in its continued efforts to curtail all forms of indiscipline and acts of unprofessionalism, has arrested and detained the police officer, Sgt Moses Samuel who shot at one Mallam Kabiru Babai ‘m’ 33years Yesterday, 3rd December, 2021 around Kobogbogboe/Ota-efun Area, Osogbo.
“Investigation and disciplinary actions have commenced and the suspect will be arraigned in court after completion of the Orderly Room Trial. This we hope will serve as deterrent to other officers of his likes.
“The Commissioner of Police, CP Olawale Olokode, psc is using this medium to express his condolences to the victim’s family, colleagues at work, and friends, and pray to God to put an end to this kind of unfortunate incident. He also assures members of the public that, justice will be served.”
