Police Arrests 17-Year-Old For Threatening To Kidnap A Septuagenarian Using His Dad’s Phone

Men of the Special Anti Robbery Squad (SARS), Abia State Police Command, has arrested a 17-year-old boy, Jessy Enogwe, over threats to kidnap a 75-year-old man in his community, Egbede Osisioma Ngwa LGA, Abia State.
Our correspondent gathered that the boy was arrested on July 21, after the victim made a complaint of threat to life.

It was learned that the boy used his father’s phone to send threatening messages to the Old man, requesting the sum of N50,000, to be dropped at a given location or risks being kidnapped and made to pay a N2 million ransom.
The messages prompted the Unnamed man to report to SARS after he fled his village for fears of being kidnapped.
