EKO HOT BLOG reports that operatives of the Rapid Response Squad (RRS), Lagos State Command arrested a notorious hoodlum attacking travelers with his team at night.
According to the Police, the attackers blocked a student returning from Abuja and dispossessed him of his valuables.
One of the attackers, a 22-year-old man, was arrested while his other gang member escaped.
“It was 1:02am. A student just arrived Ojota from Abuja and was trekking home nearby. This 22-year-old man and one other, still at large, attacked and dispossessed him of all his valuables,” the police said.
Through the efforts of RRS patrol officers around the scene, both attackers were pursued, with one of them arrested.
In another development, the police have restored normalcy to Oke-Suna in the Lagos Island area of Lagos State after the unrest.
Through the combined efforts of RRS, Taskforce, divisional police units, and LSNC, significant arrests have been made.
Commissioner of Police, CP Abiodun Alabi ordered that all the arrested suspects should be transferred for proper investigations.
