The impeached Deputy Governor of Kogi state, Elder Simon Achuba, has lamented the he had since be treated like common criminal while lamenting that the officials of the police force had barricaded the entrance to his office and electricity to his residence has been disconnected.
Achuba accused Governor Yahaya Bello of illegality adding that, the Governor going ahead to sworn in another Deputy Governor would only futher increased his illegality.
The impeached Deputy Governor however revealed that he had directed his lawyer to challenge his impeachment in the law court while calling on President Buhari to look in the matter.
Achuba revealed this at a press conference on Sunday held at his private residence in Lokoja the state capital.
He said “I was treated like a common criminal when police were drafted to prevent entry and exist from my official residence, while electricity to my house was disconnected. I went to put on the generator set, only for it to be disabled by the government.”
