Police Halts Initiation Ceremony Of Cultists In Delta

Twenty-four suspected cultists have been arrested by the Police during initiations of new members at the Ashaka area in Ukwuani Local Government Area of Delta State.

The suspects had just arrived in Ashaka from Ubulu-Okiti when Police arrested them based on information.

The Delta State Commissioner of Police, CP Muhammed Hafiz Inuwa confirmed the report.

CP Inuwa said, “They went there for initiation. Six of them were confirmed, cultists. Six were to be initiated and twelve others were arrested. Those who had nothing to do with them were released unconditionally.

“Twenty-four of them were arrested. Twelve were released because they have no hand in the initiations and cult matters.
