Police Investigate Attack on Senator Natasha’s Family Home in Kogi

The Kogi State Police Command has launched an investigation into an alleged attack on the family residence of Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan in Obeiba-Ihima, located in Okehi Local Government Area.
According to a statement from the police, the probe began after a report was filed that unidentified individuals attacked the house. On April 16th, 2025, at around 1:00 a.m., three hoodlums reportedly armed with cutlasses damaged the windows of the building.

An aide to the senator, Yakubu Ovanja, alerted the police, prompting the Divisional Police Officer in Okehi to respond. Officers arrived at the scene and met a man identified as Michael Akpoti, who explained that the attackers tried to force their way into the house but fled when he raised an alarm.

Following this incident, the Commissioner of Police directed the Criminal Investigation Department to conduct a thorough investigation to uncover the motive and identify those responsible.
