Police nab 2 with dead bodies in Taraba
Two persons were found in possession of two dead bodies in Takum Local Government Area of Taraba State by operatives of the state Police Command.
Public Relations Officer of the state police command, DSP David Misal, said investigation will commence in earnest.
He said the state Commissioner of Police, Alkasim Sanusi, had ordered that the two persons arrested alongside the van used to convey the corpses be brought to Jalingo for investigation.
He said: “We will do our investigation upon their arrival to ascertain what exactly happened.”
However, sources in the area were said to have alerted security agencies of the suspicious move of the culprits around Kwambai /Jenuwa villages in Takum Local Government Area of the state.
The information received by security agencies, according to locals, led to the arrest of the duo, who were said to be looking for where to dump the two corpses.
The police image maker, Misal, said the suspects were being transferred from Takum to Jalingo where investigations of how the carcass got to their possession will commence.
