Police Nab Two Cultists in Ogun Crackdown

Ogun State Police Command has detained Abiodun Salami and Destiny Adeola on suspicions of cult involvement in Ijoko, Sango-Ota.

Omolola Odutola, the state Command’s Public Relations Officer, shared the news via WhatsApp on Monday, revealing that the arrests occurred on August 8, 2024.

The Sango-Ota area, including Ijoko, has recently been plagued by cult-related violence, including clashes, attacks, and killings.

A January report has said, the brutal deaths of two unidentified individuals in a suspected cult clash in Ota town.

Odutola explained that Adeola and Salami were apprehended after police received a tip-off about their gathering with other Eiye Confraternity members in Ijoko.
