Police Nab Two With Pistols, Live Cartridges After Resisting Search
Eko Hot Blog reports that two suspected armed robbers, on Thursday, met their waterloo in Lagos State as men of the Nigeria Police Force, Lagos Command, arrested them.
The command’s spokesperson made the disclosure in a statement on X (formerly known as Twitter) late Thursday night, but did not mention their names nor the area where they were arrested.

According to Hundeyin, the two suspects, including two accomplices who fled the scene, initially resisted the police searching their bags, alleging harassment.
However, the policemen were not convinced and called for backup.
The police spokesperson said the suspects’ accomplices fled after police backup arrived.
“They created a scene, physically fought the policemen, claiming the police had no right to search their bag. They alleged harassment,” he said.
“Quick arrival of a backup team prevented the people from turning against the officers. Immediately backup arrived, two of them ran away, leaving these two and their tricycle behind.
“The bag was eventually searched and in it were found a locally made pistol, two live cartridges and a live 9mm ammunition.”
