Police in Kano State have rescued a three-year-old kidnapped victim in Ja’in Quarters, Kumbotso Local Government.
Spokesman of the command DSP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa confirmed the rescue of the boy.
He said the victim was kidnapped on the 24/08/2021 at about 04:00 after he left the house.
He explained that the victim was, however, rescued by the police personnels after one Mohammed Aminu a father to the victim lodged his complaint that his child was kidnapped and ₦10m was demanded as a ransom.

Kiyawa said following the report, the state commissioner of police CP Sama’ila Shu’aibu directed a team of detectives led by SP Shehu Dahiru, to rescue the victim and arrest the culprits.
He said the team swiftly swung into action and succeeded in arresting a 20-year-old Abdullahi Mukhtar who is an uncle to the victim and 22-year-old Ashiru Yakubu all of Shago Tara Street, Ja’in Quarters, Kano.
Kiyawa said the victim was rescued unhurt without the payment of any ransom to the criminals.
The two suspects confessed to the crime and have been charged to court for prosecution.
The state Commissioner of Police, Kano State Command, CP Sama’ila Shu’aibu Dikko, however, thanked the good people of Kano State for their continuous support and cooperation.
