Mrs Jumoke Babalola-Oludele, sister of the Deputy Minority Leader, Oyo State House of Assembly, Mr Sunkanmi Babalola, has been set free by her abductors after being in hostage for 2 weeks.
Mrs Babalola-Oludele who was abducted by three unknown gunmen around Oniguguri junction, beside Lion of Judah, Iyana Church, Monatan area of Ibadan on Dec 21 2020, demanded N20 million ransom for her release.
The kidnappers storms the area in the early hour of Monday 21, December and abducted Mrs Babalola-Oludele.
It was gathered by Eko Hot blog that no ransom was paid to kidnappers.
Police in the state has been working round the clock to ensure her immediate release. Their restless efforts has yielded positively.
Confirming her release on Saturday in Ibadan, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) in the state, SP Olugbenga Fadeyi, said the victim had regained freedom and reunited with her family.

Fadeyi said that “Babalola-Oludele was released through the collaborative efforts of the security agencies and other stakeholders in the state”.
The spokesman further said that two suspects had been arrested in connection with the case while underground investigation was still ongoing to identify the culprits.
The veteran lawmaker Babalola, representing Egbeda State Constituency in the state Assembly, has also confirmed his sister’s release.
However, Police in the state is making pertinent efforts to ensure that the perpetrators are brought to book in due course.
