Police Rescue Two, Three Students Still Missing in Enugu College Abduction

Five students from a college in Enugu State, southeastern Nigeria, were abducted by armed assailants. The attack occurred while the students were leaving the Enugu State College of Health Technology in the Oji River Council Area.

Enugu State police spokesperson, Deputy Superintendent Daniel Ndukwe, confirmed the incident in a statement on Saturday, noting that it took place on Thursday evening. Ndukwe dismissed reports claiming that “countless” students were kidnapped during the attack as “false and misleading.”

According to Ndukwe, police operatives received a tip-off about the abduction and quickly responded. They managed to rescue two of the victims at the scene, while three others remain missing.
