Police Take Action Over ‘Indecent’ Birthday Party Photo Of Minor

Eko Hot Blog reports that the Nigerian Police Force has reacted to an indecent birthday party photo of a minor trending on social media.

An X user had called the attention of the Nigerian Police Force to a Birthday Party Flier featuring an half naked minor and a bottle of a popular alcoholic drink.

Reacting to the controversy trailing the photo, Police Public Relations Officer, Prince Olumuyiwa Adejobi said Police will take up the matter.

In a post on his official X handle, @Princemoye1, Adejobi described the birthday photo as act of indecency capable of exposing the young girl to moral dangers.

He however said the parents will be counseled instead of being prosecuted.

The post reads:

“This is an act of indecency and exposing the young child to moral dangers. The PPRO of Edo command will take it up and counsel the parents rather than prosecute them.

This kind of a thing will expose the girl to the rots in our system and moral dangers. Not in all cases we prosecute, there is a room for ADR and CSR in our duties, and we shall be adopting such.”
