The police command warned organizers that it will not tolerate any form of breakdown of law and order in the state with reference to what happened last year.

This was contained in the statement issue by the state force Public Relations Officer, SP Ajayi Okasanmi who quoted CP Amienbo Assayomo as saying:
“For now, the situation in the state is not conducive for any procession, considering the security situation and the recent cultist’s activities.
“It has heightened tension in the minds of some members of the public. Therefore, it can not be reasonable to allow any protest or procession.
“The ugly incidents of the 2020 Endsars protest, where people’s lives and valuable government properties were viciously destroyed, is still fresh in our memories,” the statement added.
