A policeman attached to the Kano State Command’s Motor Traffic Division (MTD), Sergeant Kabiru Isah, has returned the sum of N1,294,200.00 he found at a scene of a fatal accident in the state.
EKO HOT BLOG gathered that the police officer discovered the money while conducting scene analysis some minutes after the accident occurred in Kano.
The victim of the fatal accident was said to have been crushed to death while on his motorcycle by a trailer along Zaria Road, Kano.
The victim, it was gathered, was in possession of the said amount of money arranged in a shoebox.
The Kano State Commissioner of Police, CP Sama’ila Shu’aibu Dikko, fsi, while handing over the money to the relatives of the deceased, charged other police officers to emulate the behaviour displayed by the officer.

The Police Commissioner further commended the officer for doing his job in accordance with the directives of the acting Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Alkali Baba Usman.
Meanwhile, the Managing Director, Kano Road Traffic Agency (KAROTA) Dr Baffa Babba Dan Agundi, who was overwhelmed with the behaviour displayed by Sergeant Isah, rewarded the officer with N100,000.00.
Baffa stated that he was happy that the police officer involved is attached to the traffic division of the command.
He, therefore, called on the residents of the state to emulate the good behaviour displayed by the officer.
