In a video posted on Monday night, the singer addressed the controversy, attributing his actions to a misunderstanding rooted in past experiences.
He explained that he mistook the preacher for someone intending to cause him spiritual harm.
“May God forgive me,” Portable said. “I didn’t realize he was a genuine man of God. If I had known, I wouldn’t have slapped him.
