Portable Defeats Speed Darlington
Nigerian street-hop sensation Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has emerged victorious once again — this time defeating fellow entertainer Darlington Okoye, better known as Speed Darlington (aka Akpi), in the much-publicised celebrity boxing match tagged Chaos in the Rings.

EKO HOT BLOG reports that the bout, held at the Balmoral Events Centre in Lagos, ended abruptly after just one round as Speed Darlington failed to return for the second round, leading to a technical knockout (TKO) victory for the Zazuu crooner.
The highly anticipated face-off, which had built up hype across social media platforms, lived up to expectations — at least for the brief time it lasted. Tension between both entertainers had escalated during their weigh-in on Thursday, with a heated verbal exchange and minor scuffle, setting the tone for Friday night’s contest.
As the bell rang for Round One, Portable wasted no time, launching a barrage of punches with impressive footwork and intensity. Speed Darlington, visibly overwhelmed, managed to shield himself through most of the round but struggled to respond with any significant offense.
Towards the final seconds of the round, Portable landed several clean shots, leaving Akpi visibly shaken. Though the bell temporarily saved him, he appeared to have sustained an injury on his right hand and failed to return for the second round. The referee declared the bout over, handing victory to Portable by TKO.
Following the outcome, fans took to X (formerly Twitter) to share their reactions. One user, @Jamessucre2, wrote, “Anyone who grew up in the ghetto like Portable did knew that Akpi had no chance… Even if Anthony Joshua trained him, Portable would still beat him.”
Another user, @Mbhwandies, commented, “Portable is actually fast! You can’t take that away from him. Akpi was just protecting his face the whole time.”
@Fast_bright added a more reflective take, saying, “The organizers of the fight have shown that boxing can regain its prominence in Nigeria with proper management and publicity.” He also used the moment to urge support for heavyweight boxer Efe Ajagba, who is set to face Martin Bakole on May 3 for a heavyweight title shot.
This win comes just over a year after Portable defeated Nollywood actor Charles Okocha in another celebrity boxing match held on December 26, 2023, at Landmark Beach, Victoria Island, Lagos. That bout followed a viral online clash between the two over an alleged ₦40 million scam.
