EKO HOT BLOG reports that Nura Dankadai, the immediate past Commissioner for Planning and Budget in Kano State has left the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

In a letter addressed to his ward Chairman, sighted by newsmen, the politician said his decision was on the premise of “unfair treatment”, “lack of internal democracy”, and the “marginalization” of his constituency.

Recall that Dankadai had last month handed over the affairs of his ministry to the next in command despite Governor Abdullahi Ganduje’s rejection of his resignation letter.

This follows Governor Ganduje’s directive that all political appointees wishing to contest in the 2023 general elections should resign on or before April 18 – in line with the Electoral Act, 2022.
