Accompanied by popular Nollywood producer Stanley Ontop, Eze reported the case to the Imo State Police Command on Tuesday.
Eze recounted that he had taken his wife to the hospital when she went into labor.
The attending doctor determined she needed an emergency CS due to excessive bleeding. However, during the procedure, he noticed the medical team relying on their phones for guidance.

“Right in my presence, they were using their phones to watch a YouTube video on how to perform surgery,” Eze said. “I lost my wife and my baby during the process.”
Following the public outcry, the hospital’s owner was arrested, while the doctors involved reportedly fled.
Stanley Ontop, who has been actively following the case, confirmed the arrests in an update. “The owner of the hospital where doctors were watching YouTube on how to perform surgery on a pregnant woman has been arrested. Nurses were arrested too, but the doctors who performed the surgery had absconded. They are still being searched for,” he wrote.
