Although the victim’s elder brother volunteered to deliver the ransom, the kidnappers insisted on speaking with the victim’s wife and demanded she personally deliver it.
Despite her condition, she set out with a driver, following the kidnappers’ directions through various locations before finally delivering the ransom at Odogbolu in Ogun State.
The victim was subsequently released in Epe, returning home safely. He revealed that the kidnappers also took valuable gold jewelry worth millions of naira.
Following the incident, the family reported it to the police, leading to the arrest of three suspects: Adelaja Ikuesan, Tosin Oke (known as “Old Soldier”), and Oluwabunmi Yusuf.
The suspects confessed to their involvement, expressing regret and vowing to abandon criminal activities.
