The Presidency has announced the postponement of the Extra-Ordinary Federal Executive Council meeting slated for Saturday to Monday.
The presidency had earlier announced that president Buhari would today (Saturday) chaired the meeting.
The presidency announced the change on Saturday via its twitter handle @NGRPresident.
The statement reads in part, “The Extra-Ordinary FEC Meeting originally scheduled to hold Saturday has been shifted to Monday, October 7, 2019, by 12 noon.”
The presidency cited no reason for the sudden postponement of the Extral-Ordinary Federal Executive Council meeting.
The presidency however, noted that the purpose of the meeting was to perfect the 2020 budget to be transmitted to the National Assembly on Tuesday.
“The meeting is to put finishing touches to the year 2020 budget, which would still be presented to the National Assembly by 2 p.m on Tuesday,” the statement reads.
