The presidency has reacted to Governor Seyi Makinde’s order to the police to arrest popular Yoruba activist, Sunday Adeyemo also known as Sunday Igboho.
The presidency said that the Oyo state government must arrest Igboho with immediate effect.
Sunday Igboho, who is known for participating actively in the Modakeke-Ife war, recently gave a quit notice to Fulani herdsmen occupying the Ibarapa area of the state.
The activist had accused the herdsmen of nefarious activities which includes robbery, kidnaping, illegal grazing of farm land among others.
After several warnings by the state Governor Seyi Makinde, an arrest warrant has been issued for the warlord and his supporters.

Responding to this move by the state Oyo state government, a presidential media aide, Lauretta Onochie, has said that Sunday Igboho must be dealt with so that his case can serve as a deterrent to other persons who intend to emulate him.
EKO HOT BLOG recalls that Sunday Igboho had dared the Oyo state government to arrest him following his “leave” order to Fulani herders in Igangan community with a seven-day ultimatum issued.
