The Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Policy Communication, Daniel Bwala, has reaffirmed the administration’s commitment to building a better Nigeria, even amid rising criticisms from prominent voices, including cleric and former presidential aspirant, Pastor Tunde Bakare.
Bwala made this known in response to Pastor Bakare’s Easter Sunday state of the nation address, where the cleric raised alarms about what he described as Nigeria’s descent into tyranny and widespread abuse of power under Tinubu’s leadership.

EKO HOT BLOG reports that while addressing pressing national concerns during the Easter celebrations, Bakare expressed dismay over the current political and economic direction of the country, warning that Nigeria was on the brink of deeper hardship if urgent steps were not taken.
Reacting through a post on his official 𝕏 account, Bwala described Bakare’s critique as “objective,” stating that the clergyman did not only criticise but also acknowledged achievements and proposed constructive suggestions.
“Pastor Tunde Bakare’s sermon and speech delivered this morning in form of a message to President Bola Tinubu is quite objective,” Bwala stated.
“He gave his general opinion on events and decisions of government; he critiqued certain policies and applauded some; he further offered his suggestions on the way forward.”
The presidential media aide commended Bakare’s balanced approach and highlighted that the administration respects the rights of Nigerians to voice their concerns.
“Importantly, he acknowledged the successes and strides of the President and his administration,” Bwala noted.
He added that while the Presidency holds different views on some of the issues raised, Tinubu remains unwavering in his resolve to fulfil his mandate.

“Although we differ with him in some areas and positions, we respect his right to say his mind, and assure him, as with many Nigerians, that President Tinubu is determined to deliver on the promise to the Nigerian people,” Bwala concluded.
