President Buhari Mourns As Ahmed Mahmud Dies

• President Buhari has mourned the death of Alhaji Ahmed Mahmud.

EKO HOT BLOG reports that the Galadiman of Ringim, Alhaji Ahmed Mahmud, is dead.

President Muhammadu Buhari, while reacting to the Prince’s demise, condoled with Emir of Ringim, Alhaji Sayyadi Mahmud Ringim, and the people of Jigawa State.

In a statement signed by his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, President Buhari said that Ahmed until his death, was the most senior prince and a District Head in Ringim Emirate.

EKO HOT BLOG gathered that the deceased was also one of the surviving junior brothers of the Emir of Ringim and grandchild of the ninth Fulani Emir of Kano, Mallam Usman Dantsoho.

President Buhari, in his tribute, noted that the late Galadiman Ringim had a distinguished career in the course of which he made notable contributions to the development of his community and the country at large.

Buhari said, “Jigawa state has lost an inspiring individual.”

President Buhari further prayed to Almighty Allah to accept his good deeds and grant family and friends fortitude to bear the loss.
