EKO HOT BLOG reports that a top associate of President Muhammadu Buhari, Faruk Adamu Aliyu, on Wednesday night, escaped assassination attempt in Kano.

The suspected assassins were said to have attacked the residence of the APC chieftain, who was also a former member of the House of Representatives.

They were said to have forcefully gained entry into the house of the politician and shot at the Gateman injuring him.

The assassins tied the security personnel but couldn’t reach Aliyu’s family, it was revealed.

Police Spokesman, SP Haruna Kiyawa, confirmed the incident, Thursday, saying, Faruk’s family was saved by the arrival of a detachment of the Command, drafted by the CP Samaila Doki.
