Tinubu Announces Leadership Changes In Housing Sector

Oyetunde Ojo assumes the role of Managing Director at the Federal Housing Authority (FHA), succeeding Mr. Gbenga Ashafa, while Mr. Shehu Osiris is appointed Managing Director at the Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria (FMBN).

Ojo, a former Member of the House of Representatives with over a decade of experience in the housing and hospitality industries, expressed his dedication to the role, stating, “I am honored to take on this responsibility, and I am committed to contributing to the transformation of the housing sector in Nigeria.”

At FHA, the leadership team includes Mr. Mathias Byuan (Housing Finance and Accounts), Umar Abdullahi (Business Development), Oluremi Omowaiye (Project Implementation), and Ezekiel Nya-Etok (Estate Services).

Similarly, FMBN’s executive team comprises Mr. Ibidapo Odojukan (Finance and Corporate Services), Muhammad Abdu (Loans and Mortgage Services), and Ms. Chinenye Anosike (Business Development and Portfolios).

Ngelale, Tinubu’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, emphasized that these appointments are part of a comprehensive strategy to reposition the national housing and urban development sector, addressing the current and future needs of Nigerian families nationwide.

Shehu Osiris, the new FMBN MD, shared his enthusiasm, saying, “I look forward to working collaboratively to ensure that the Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria plays a pivotal role in providing accessible mortgage financing to Nigerians.”

Ngelale stated that these appointments are part of a comprehensive strategy to reposition the national housing and urban development sector, addressing the current and future needs of Nigerian families nationwide.
