More glowing tributes have poured in for the late Prince Adelani Gbogboade Adeniji-Adele, popularly known as Oko.
EKO HOT BLOG reports that Prince Adeniji-Adele passed on after a brief illness at his Festac home in Lagos State.
He was a retired immigration officer and a stalwart of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the Amuwo Odofin area of Lagos State.
Reacting to his death, ace lawyer and President Emeritus of Eko Club International, Omotayo J. Lawal, described the deceased as a grassroots politician, whose love for Lagos was unquestionable.
“Prince Adeniji-Adele’s love for Lagos transcended the state of Lagos as his service as Eko Club International’s interim president reflected.
“He was passionate about promoting Lagos outside Nigeria,” he said.
On his part, Otunba T.J. Abass, President Emeritus of Eko Club International described Prince Adelani as a true patriot and community leader.
“When he was with us, his presence was always felt and he was always ready to help Eko Club International fulfill its mission.
“We are going to miss Prince Adeniji-Adele and I wish his family the strength to bear this great loss,” he said.
Friends and community leaders have paid condolence visits to the family home in Houston, Texas.
Earlier, the Eko Club Houston and Eko Akete, alongside the Nigerian community in Houston, expressed sadness over the death of Oko.
