The Lagos State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) came alive on Tuesday as the party officially unveiled its 57 Chairmanship candidates at a high-energy event held at the APC Secretariat, Acme, Ogba.
Ekohotblog reports that the ceremony served as a rallying point for party stakeholders, grassroots mobilizers, and loyal supporters ahead of the upcoming Local Government Elections scheduled for Saturday, July 12, 2025.

At the forefront of the announcement for Epe Local Government is Hon. (Princess) Surah Olayemi Animashaun, FHTI, whose selection reaffirmed her influence and commitment to grassroots development.
Princess Surah, who emerged victorious in a competitive APC primary, has been widely celebrated for her transformative leadership style and people-focused policies that have significantly impacted education, infrastructure, healthcare, youth empowerment, and inclusive governance in Epe.
Speaking at the unveiling, Princess Surah thanked party leaders, delegates, and the people of Epe for their continuous trust and support.
“This flag is a renewed call to serve, and I accept it with humility and deep gratitude,” she said. “We’ve come a long way, and together we’ve achieved much. But I assure you that our best days are still ahead. I will not let you down.”

She also emphasized the importance of collective progress and sustained development across all wards.
“Our mission is clear, to build an Epe that works for all. No one will be left behind. From the youth to the Older people, from the farmers to the entrepreneurs, every voice matters and will be heard,” she stated.
Lagos APC Chairman, Hon. (Pastor) Cornelius Ojelabi, who led the symbolic flag presentation, praised Princess Surah for her proven record and strategic vision.
“Princess Surah is a model of what APC leadership represents,service, dedication, and delivery,” Ojelabi noted. “We are confident that under her continued leadership, Epe will rise to greater heights.”
The crowd, made up of party faithful, traditional leaders, and youth groups from Epe, erupted in chants and jubilation, expressing confidence in Princess Surah’s candidacy.
