The Executive Head of Content and West Africa Channels at MultiChoice, Busola Tejumola, shared the details, stating that the new season of BBNaija will premiere on Sunday, July 28, at 7 PM WAT. The show will be broadcast across all Africa Magic channels, bringing the excitement of BBNaija to millions of viewers.
This year’s prize of ₦100 million is notably ₦20 million less than the ₦120 million awarded to last season’s winner. In addition to the cash prize, the winner will also drive away in a brand-new SUV. “After 71 days of intense competition, on October 6, 2024, a total prize of ₦100 million and a new SUV will be awarded,” Tejumola announced.
The reduction in prize money comes after Ilebaye Odiniya’s victory in the all-stars season in October 2023, where she won ₦120 million. Despite the decrease, the stakes remain high, with the new season promising fresh twists and new housemates who are set to capture the audience’s hearts.
Tejumola highlighted the exciting changes for this season, ensuring fans that the new housemates will bring fresh energy and dynamics to the show. “This season will introduce new twists and fresh housemates who are set to become fan favorites,” she said.
BBNaija continues to be one of Africa’s most-watched reality TV shows, with its mix of drama, entertainment, and competition captivating audiences. The anticipation for the new season is already building, with fans eagerly awaiting the premiere to see who will emerge as the next BBNaija champion.
