Professional Football Season Has Been Suspended, Hungary Declares

Hungarian professional football season has been suspended by the country’s football federation (MLSZ) as the number of infected citizens of coronavirus has not reduced to the satisfactory stage, adding that season may re-start by May 23, 2020.

The federation announced on Tuesday that the season would re-establish with a league and two-cup ties.

It moved further to state that the lower divisions would finalize immediately.

Other countries that had mentioned their date of season resumption alongside Hungary are Poland (May 29) and Portugal (May 30).
