EKO HOT BLOG reports that the Oyo State Chapter of the Association Of Model Islamic Schools (AMIS) has charged school proprietors and teachers to prioritize professionalism and knowledge Impartation in their daily interaction with students.
This was contained in the series of lectures delivered at the 2023 edition of the Association’s annual teachers seminar held on Thursday at Qibla International School, Aleshinloye, Ibadan.

The seminar with the theme: Survival of schools in the face of current challenges had in attendance scores of member schools from across Ido Local Government Area of the state as well the Representative of Honourable Remi Oseni, House of Rep member representing Ibadan South West Federal Constituency at the green chamber.
Delivering the first lecture, Alh. A. O. Dhul-kifli, the secretary general of the Association in Oyo State enjoined teachers to develop the zeal and enthusiasm needed to carry the various categories of learners along in their classroom engagement.
Dhul-kifli who is also the proprietor of Hamdallah Group of School, Ibadan added that teaching tips such as simplification,gamification, dramatisation and improvisation are essential for teachers to effectively impart knowledge on students.
In addressing the current economic challenges facing schools, he charged school proprietors to focus on resource management, students retainment drive as well as applying for grants and other packages available in the Association and beyond.
The second facilitator, Alhaja S.R. Abdurahman, Proprietress of Kumfayakum School, Ibadan extensively took participants through the various ways of addressing student’s youthful exuberance in schools noting that being vigilant is crucial to avoid unnecessary complications.
While explaining the factors that distinguishes a successful teachers from others, Alhaja Abdurahman stressed that a successful teacher must be able to switch roles as occasion demands in order to meet the unique needs of the learners.
Lastly, she challenged teachers to be intentional about their invaluable roles in shaping students life by getting the appropriate certifications.
In his goodwill message, the LIE, Ido local government, Mr Azinwa described AMIS as major stakeholders in the education sector in Oyo state and Nigeria at large.
The LIE further reminds proprietors on their various responsibility to the state adding that failure to comply with government directives attracts heavy penalty.

Delivering the vote of thanks, the 6th chairman of the Association who also double as the current National Auditor General & Chief Examiner, AMIS National Examinations Council (ANECO), Alhaji Abbas Lawal appreciates the LIE for always turning up at AMIS events.
He thereafter urged teachers to continue to utilize the mid-term holidays for self-evaluation and further skills acquisition to be better prepared in meeting the needs of their students.
