Ekohotblog reports that the burial ceremony of Alhaji Surakat Adeyemi Apena, fondly known as Baba Total, brought together an array of dignitaries and community leaders who gathered to honor the life of a man remembered for his unwavering dedication to society, discipline, and positive influence on countless lives.
The ceremony saw the presence of prominent figures, including Alhaji Seriki Akanni Bamu, APEX APC leader; Hon. Abiodun Tobun, Representative of Epe Constituency II; Hon. Sesan Olowa, Executive Chairman of Ibeju Lekki LCDA; Hon. Monsuru Akinloye, Executive Chairman of Eredo LCDA; Hon. Wale Raji Anomo, Executive Chairman of Ikosi Ejinrin LCDA; Hon. Sylvester Ogunkelu (Sketel); Hon. Segun Àgbaje; Hon. Hammed Seriki; and other notable personalities who came to pay their last respects to Baba Total.
In an interview with Ekohotblog Hon. Sesan Olowa, the Executive Chairman of Ibeju Lekki LCDA, commended Baba Total for his significant contributions to society.
“Baba Total has touched so many lives positively; he was a disciplinarian and a role model to many,” Hon. Olowa remarked.
He praised the late Alhaji Surakat for his endless commitment to the community and encouraged the younger generation to learn from the past heroes to build a better society.
“The youth should read about the past heroes, emulate their virtues, and work towards creating a better society,” he added.
Similarly, Hon. Segun Àgbaje highlighted the impactful work Baba Total had done in the Epe division.
He urged the younger generation to follow in the footsteps of Alhaji Surakat to ensure the continued growth and betterment of the community.
“Baba Total has left a legacy of good work in Epe, and it is important for the young ones to follow his example so that we can continue to have a better community,” Hon. Àgbaje advised.
