EKO HOT BLOG reports that Alhaji Haruna Abdullahi, Ajiyan Gombe and Senior District Head of Kwami, has passed away.
It was gathered that Alhaji Abdullahi, who was 94 years old, died on Monday following a protracted illness.
Former Minister of Education, Science, and Technology and Nigerian Ambassador to Malaysia Ibrahim Yerima Abdullahi (Sarkin Ban Gombe), well known as Baba Ajiya, was his older brother.
He has been buried at his palace in Malam Sidi, headquarters of Kwami Local Government Area (LGA) – in accordance with Islamic rites.
Reacting to the traditional ruler’s demise, Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya of Gombe State described the passage of the traditional leader as a huge loss to the state and Nigeria.
