Prominent Traditional Rulers Shot Dead In Imo

• Prominent traditional rulers have been shot dead in Imo State.

EKOHOTBLOG reports that the no fewer than two traditional rulers have been shot dead by unknown gunmen in Imo State.

 

This online news platform gathered that the traditional rulers were having a stakeholders meeting at Nnenasa, headquarters of Njaba Local Government Area of the state, when they were killed.

EKOHOTBLOG reports that the monarchs shot dead by the gunmen are Eze E. A Durueburuo, Obi I of Okwudor, and Eze Sampson Osunwa of Ihebinowere autonomous community.

It was gathered that other traditional rulers at the meeting left with injuries.

As gathered by EKOHOTBLOG, the tragic incident was confirmed by the Imo State Police Public Relations Officer, Mike Abattam, noting that two traditional rulers were confirmed dead on the spot while the wounded have been taken to hospital for treatment.
