EKO HOT BLOG reports that Prophet Chukwuemeka Ohanaemere (aka Odumeje) is an Anambra-based pastor, popularly known for his controversial mode of carrying out deliverance and miracles.

Prophet Odumeje is no doubt one of the most popular pastors in Nigeria, with his Thursday Family Deliverance session being graced by many popular entertainers, including actors, singers and comedians.

Who is Prophet Odumeje?

Odumeje was born Chukwuemeka Cyril Ohanaemere on 9 September 1982 in the state of Anambra. He is the third child in the family of Mr and Mrs Pius Ohanaemere six children.

He is an indigene of Orsu Ihete Ukwa, in the Orlu Local Government Area of Imo State, in the South East of Nigeria. He is identified as a controversial and radical Nigerian pastor. He was raised in Fegge / Odoakpu, Onitsha, Anambra State.

He is the founder and general supervisor of the Holy Ghost Mountain Interference and Ministry of Distribution, a.k.a. the Land of Independence. His church is located in Onitsha, Anambra, South East, Nigeria.

Prophet Odumeje Early Life & Education

Odumeje received his secondary education at Providence Secondary School after his kindergarten and primary education at Nweje, in the town of Anambra. He did not attend any university because of the financial difficulties faced by his mother, who was the breadwinner of the family and a petty trader in Upper Iweka, Lagos Park.

He had to learn about the leather industry to make the ends meet. He enjoys music, acting, and so much so that he reveals their characteristics even as he preaches on the altar.

While growing up, Chukwuemeka Ohanaemere had great passions for football and music and wanted to pursue a career in any of them.

It was in his struggle to survive that he had a heavenly encounter that finally led him to where he is now.

In 2000, Odumeje quit his leather business and launched into full ministerial work.

He stated that quitting his business wasn’t an easy decision, as he had to face a lot of financial difficulties. He became a laughing stock among his peers, especially when the story of his revelation became known, but his mother supported him in all rounds.

In an interview, Odumeje revealed that his mother had seen him become a great prophet and that she unceasingly embraced his future with prayers and fasting for her son.

Ohanaemere became a laughing stock as news came out about his mother’s revelation. He became a devout Roman Catholic who worshipped in the parish of the Holy Heart, Odoakpu, Onitsha. Later, he left Onitsha and stayed with the monks at the Awhum Catholic Monastery in Ninth Mile, Enugu County.

In 2000, he left his leather company and other ministries, started his private evangelism, and started a full private ministry.

In the early days of his ministerial job, his mother remained his financial cornerstone. On September 10, 2010, Mountain of the Holy Ghost Intervention and Ministry of Distribution began functioning in an open space located at 14 Osumu Street Odakpu, Onitsha, Anambra State. Later, he moved to the Okija Hall and then to the Arodizuogu Hall, Odakpu, Anambra State.

Indaboski ‘s church is now permanently located at 88 Bida Rd, City Centre, Onitsha, Anambra, with more than 20,000 seats. However, by 2020, his ministry is estimated to be raking in millions annually for Indaboski. White, five-foot-tall Odumeje is often criticized for his model of healing and deliverance, which includes placing a person on empty chairs as WWE wrestlers do.

Indaboski ‘s ministry became famous in 2019 when a video of him delivering the knockdown came viral on social media. His followers are millions, not counting the famous Nollywood star, Zubby Micheal. Indaboski also has ties with other Nollywood stars, such as Rita Edochie, Harry B, and Jerry Amilo. He released a music track called “Alabasidi” in July 2020. He also collaborated with Umu Jesus Christ, with Flavour N’abania, a renowned Nigerian singer. He’s released songs like that.

Prophet Odumeje Controversies

Prophet Chukwuemeka Ohanaemere is really a controversial pastor, who never fails to surprise his followers with one news or the other. Starting from his odd miracle sessions which sometimes involve him lifting and throwing members of his church on empty chairs, to his Smackdown moves which appear similar to that of American professional wrestler, John Cena.

In fact, he is sometimes referred to as the ‘heavyweight servant of the ‘Most High’. Aside from his wrestling moves, Prophet Odumeje has also been accused of staging miracles. According to an article which appeared on waploaded.com, Odumeje was accused of staging a fake deliverance on the Nwaegbue Family of the Umuakwuelo Kingdom in Etiti Village of Enugu Agidi.

During the deliverance section, he was filmed uprooting some fetish items found in the hole including an old chain, calabash, and some bottles. He claimed that by virtue of him uprooting the objects, the family has been set free and will start to experience progress in life. The deliverance didn’t go too well with some of his followers on Facebook as some claimed he might have buried them in order to make people believe.

In other news, over 80 followers of Odumeje’s followers were reportedly deported from Indonesia after they publicly sprayed money on the prophet during his visit to Jakarta. The prophet later denied the information, further describing his visit to Indonesia as a blessing to #thelionsfamily.

Prophet Odumeje has also been spotted on several occasions dancing to secular music while being sprayed wads of dollars. This isn’t something cool to Nigerians, as it is believed that Christianity and Secular music are two parallel lines that can’t meet.

Prophet Chukwuemeka Ohanaemere is also believed to be a close friend of Nollywood actor, Zubby Michael. They have been spotted before dancing to Zlatan’s ‘Zanku (legwork)’. He has also been spotted on another occasion, dancing to Mr P’s ‘One More Niger’ while being sprayed wads of cash during his birthday at a Sunday Service.
