Protest Violence: PDP Blames APC Govt For Allegedly Recruiting Hoodlums
The PDP accused the APC government of instigating violence during the #EndBadGovernance protests, urging a review of harmful policies and an investigation into subsidy and palliative fund looting.
EKO HOT BLOG reports that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has criticized the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) government for allegedly instigating violence during the #EndBadGovernance nationwide protests.
PDP National Publicity Secretary, Debo Ologunagba, made this statement in Abuja on the first day of the citizen-led hunger protests held across major cities in Nigeria. Ologunagba asserted that the protests could have been avoided if the APC-led government had shown sensitivity and commitment to addressing the hardships caused by its poorly implemented policies.

Ologunagba highlighted the severe hunger and poverty in the country and called on the Federal Government to immediately review its anti-people policies that are “suffocating lives in the country.”
He emphasized that Nigerians expect President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to personally address the nation amid the ongoing protests, announce major policy reviews, and order an investigation into the alleged looting of subsidy and palliative funds.
He added, “There is hunger and destitution in the land. The reaction of hungry people is better imagined! Mr President, please act now.
“Sadly, these counsels did not receive the expected consideration, resulting in the current situation.
“It is alarming that instead of engaging Nigerians and addressing their concerns, the APC recruited hoodlums to instigate violence to justify a clampdown and the killing of innocent Nigerians.
