EKO HOT BLOG reports that the French Ligue 1 giants, long haunted by near-misses in Europe’s top competition, delivered a dominant performance from start to finish under the guidance of manager Luis Enrique. The emphatic victory marks PSG’s first Champions League triumph in the club’s history.
The night began with an electrifying performance from American rock band Linkin Park, setting a dramatic tone for the clash. Once the match kicked off, PSG wasted no time in asserting their dominance.
Achraf Hakimi opened the scoring in the 12th minute, capitalising on a pinpoint assist from 19-year-old French midfielder Désiré Doué. Doué soon made it 2-0 in the 20th minute, finishing off a devastating counterattack as Inter struggled to gain a foothold.
Despite efforts from Inter’s Federico Dimarco and Marcus Thuram, the Italians were unable to break down PSG’s backline. PSG’s attacking trio, including Ousmane Dembélé and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, kept the pressure on, but the first half ended 2-0.
The second half saw PSG continue their assault. Doué netted his second goal of the night in the 63rd minute, putting the result beyond doubt before being subbed off to a standing ovation.
Kvaratskhelia, who had missed several chances earlier, struck in the 73rd minute to extend the lead to 4-0. Teenage substitute Senny Mayulu added the fifth in the 86th minute, sealing the most one-sided final in recent Champions League history.

Desire Doué was deservedly named Man of the Match for his two-goal heroics, as PSG finally climbed Europe’s football summit with style and authority.
