EKO HOT BLOG reports that Chelsea ace, Christian Pulisic is set to perform a U-turn and snub a potential loan move to Manchester United.
The USA international has struggled to win the faith of Thomas Tuchel and had been seeking showdown talks with the Chelsea manager to ascertain his place in his manager’s plans.
With Raheem Sterling and Mason Mount firmly established in Tuchel’s starting XI, Pulisic is likely to be afforded only limited opportunities in his favourite positions and is understood to have been frustrated in the past at being asked to fill in at wing-back or as a false nine.
The 23-year-old had been contemplating his future amid interest from both Newcastle United and Atletico Madrid, while Erik ten Hag was willing to offer him a temporary solution to his lack of minutes ahead of the World Cup.
Chelsea were even reported to have enquired about a potential swap deal involving out of sorts United skipper Harry Maguire as they continue to be frustrated in their attempts to sign Wesley Fofana from Leicester City.
According to the Daily Mail, however, Pulisic is set to perform a U-turn and commit his immediate future to Chelsea where he plans to stay and fight for a first team place.
The former Borussia Dortmund star is also unwilling to wait on United, who have earmarked Ajax winger Antony as their No.1 target to provide competition on the flanks for Jadon Sancho and Marcus Rashford.
