Putin Cancels African Debts Worth $20b

The Russian President Vladimir Putin, has canceled $20b worth of debts for African countries.
This was revealed by a national news outfit in Russia, The Moscow Times.
It could be recalled that the first-ever Russia-Africa summit was held in Russia between Wednesday (October 23) and Thursday (October 24).
It was gathered that the summit was to restore Russia’s partnership with Africa continent since the fall of the Soviet Union.
Also recall that the Nigerian President, Muhammadu Buhari on Monday afternoon departs Abuja with delegates to attend the event along with other African leaders and their delegates
