Russian President Vladimir Putin has pledged support to North Korea in the wake of devastating floods that have ravaged the country.
Eko Hot Blog reports that the downpour on July 27 killed an unspecified number of people, flooded dwellings and submerged swathes of farmland in the north near China.
In a statement, Putin expressed his condolences to the victims and assured North Korea of Russia’s readiness to provide necessary assistance.
