Railway Project: LASG To Close PWD Level Crossing

The Lagos State Government has announced that the Ilupeju and Ogunmokun Level Crossing will be closed for the laying of tracks on the right side along the level crossing section of the roads as part of the ongoing railway modernisation project.

According to a statement issued on Friday by the Lagos State Ministry of Transportation, Ilupeju Level Crossing will be closed from Sunday, 22nd March, 2020 to Tuesday, 24rd March, 2020 between 6.00 pm and 6.00 am daily.

While Ogunmokun Level Crossing will be closed on Thursday 26th March from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm on the same day.

The release, however, advised motorists intending to use the Ilupeju Road during the construction period scheduled for Sunday to Tuesday, to divert to Ogunmokun Crossing for access to Mushin Road, Oshodi and Surulere.

While on Thursday when Ogunmokun will be closed, road users are advised to use Ilupeju Level Crossing, Yaba Crossing and Jibowu to access their various destinations.

It, however, implored all motorists to comply with the traffic signals as well as obey traffic management officers to ease the traffic situation and minimise inconvenience likely to result from the construction work on the aforementioned days.
