EKO HOT BLOG reports that rainfall swept off the roofs of buildings in Onitsha, Anambra State, on Monday night, causing inhabitants to seek shelter elsewhere while salvaging their property.

The rainstorm in Onitsha inundated major roads such as New and Old Market Roads, Awka, Bida, Limca, Upper Iweka, and Ezeiweka Roads, among others.

The rainstorm in Onitsha wreaked havoc on the recently constructed road heading to the Federal College of Education (Technical), Umunze in Anambra State’s Orumba South Local Government Area.

The road, which was built only a few months ago by an unknown federal contractor, was in a bad situation after a flood swept away its connecting bridge, leaving a gully mark across the road, according to a viral video shared on various social media sites.
