The distribution of the rice commenced on Friday, under the supervision of the Minister of State for Defence, Dr. Bello Matawalle.
The minister’s representative, Alhaji Tukur Danfulani, handed over the rice to party executives at the APC Secretariat in Gusau.
According to Matawalle, this act of kindness was a personal contribution from President Tinubu, intended to alleviate the economic hardships faced by APC members and underprivileged individuals in the state during the holy month of Ramadan.
The 7,000 bags of rice will be distributed for free among the targeted beneficiaries, including state, local government, and ward executives.
The minister also urged party members to continue praying for sustainable peace and stability in Zamfara State and Nigeria as a whole.
He emphasized that the Federal Government, under Tinubu’s leadership, is taking necessary steps to address banditry and other criminal activities in Zamfara and the North-West region.
“This gesture is to appreciate the efforts of the APC leadership in the state for their hard work, dedication, and loyalty and making the party stronger and more united,” he added.
Matawalle called for continued understanding and tolerance among the party members at all levels to bolster the unity of the party in the state.
The minister assured,”As leaders, we will continue to support the party in whatever form to succeed.”
The State Secretary of the party, Ibrahim Dangaladima, while receiving the gesture on behalf of the party’s members thanked Tinubu and the minister for what he described as ‘quick food intervention’.
