Real Madrid captain, Sergio Ramos has welcomed the addition of Eden Hazard to Real Madrid squad, describing him as a “world-class player”.
Ramos was speaking while away on international duty with Spain following official confirmation that Hazard has joined the Spanish giants in a deal worth €100 million from Chelsea.
Madrid, who have been well short of options up front, following the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo to Juventus, welcomed Hazard into the fold with a five-year contract.
Excited to welcome the 28-year-old to the Santiago Bernabeu, Ramos admitted Real Madrid could do with such a top quality player.
“He is coming to play with us, we were already here, right? I’m happy, the tough-tackling defender said when his opinion was sought on the Belgian’s addition.
“I think it’s a great signing. He is a world-class player. It is good to reinforce the squad,” he added.
