RCCG Members in US Protest During Worship Service Over Killings in Nigeria
EKO HOT BLOG reports that during a service at one of the church’s branches in New Jersey, the United States, some members of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) organized a surprise protest.
One of them, Dr. Seyi Adesanya, who was dissatisfied with the way Nigeria was being ruled, constantly yelled, “Say no to Fulani government!”
In a viral video obtained by Goldmynetv, a woman could be heard talking over the public address system, persuading the protesters to take things easy.
The RCCG members accused their own church of colluding with the Nigerian government to wipe out Yoruba and Igbo from the country.
“You are co-conspirators. RCCG are conspirators. We are Yoruba and Igbo here. They’re killing our people. We won’t take this no more. Nonsense,” one of them said.
However, two other protesters, who were armed with placards containing pictures of the killings going on in Nigeria, displayed them before some church attendants, believed to be government officials.
“This is exactly what is happening; you’re sitting down here in the US. This is what is happening. We won’t take this anymore,” one of them said.
Meanwhile, another protester yelled “Call them!” when someone threatened to get the police involved.
