Eko Hot Blog reports that a former aide to ex-President Muhammadu Buhari, Bashir Ahmed has called for a reflection on the achievements of the former Nigerian leader while in office.
According to the former presidential aide, the legacy of dedication and love for the country as demonstrated by Buhari should be a guiding light for future generations.
As we remember His Excellency @MBuhari, it is important that we not only reflect on his accomplishments but also strive to carry forward the values and principles he embodied. We should ensure that his legacy of dedication and love for the country remains a guiding light for future generations.”
Ahmad made the submission in reaction to an earlier post by Mohammed Jammal who was of the opinion that Buhari is a statesman who was a beacon of hope, integrity, compassion, and vision.
“Remembering a true statesperson today. @MBuhari was a beacon of hope, integrity, compassion, and vision. His unwavering dedication to the people and the nation was an inspiration to us all. His legacy of love for the country and its citizens lives on,” Jammal wrote on his X account.
The submission by Ahmad however didn’t sit well with many netizens who took to the comment section of his post to react and express regret about Buhari’s tenure in office. See some of the reactions:
