Read What A Doctor Said About The Negative Effects Of Putting Laptops On The Thighs For Hours

  • EKOHOTBLOG, 25TH NOVEMBER, 2020

A controversial Nigerian- British doctor, Dr. Harvey Olufunmilayo Ogunsanyo also known as “OurFavOnlineDoc” on social media, has dished out some important health advice to men especially.

Dr. Olu, on Monday morning, via a Twitter account with user id @DrOlufunmilayo, advised men against wearing tight pants, skinny jeans, sitting down for too long and putting laptops on their thighs for hours.

The doctor says “heat in scrotum can kill your sperm, cause low sperm count and damage your testicles.”

Dr. Olu, stressed that those can cause infertility in men. Giving the ugly implications highlighted, he advised that men wear free boxers and sleep naked. This is to allow the testicles fresh air and needed space.

See Dr Olu’s tweet below;

“STOP wearing tight pants, STOP wearing skinny jeans, STOP sitting for too long, STOP putting laptop on thighs for hours.

“Heat in scrotum can kill your sperm, cause low sperm count and damage your testicles.

“YOU MAY NEVER FATHER A CHILD.

“Wear free boxers. Sleep naked. Ciao “

However, a 2010 Reuters Health report goes to confirm a part of Dr. Olu’s assertion but disagrees with a part.

The report reads: to hold a laptop on your knees, however, you need to sit still with your legs closed. After one hour in this position, the researchers found that men’s testicle temperature had risen by up to 2.5 C.

And on the other hand notes that; tight jeans and briefs are generally not considered a risk factor. Clothes should not significantly change scrotal temperature, because you are moving around.
