Spanish football giants, Real Madrid, have announced the signing of Serbia international footballer, Luka Jovic from Eintracht Frankfurt.
According to the most successful club in the Champions League, Jovic, signed for an undisclosed fee, will join the capital club on a six-year deal
“Real Madrid and Eintracht Frankfurt have agreed on the transfer of Luka Jovic, subject to a medical,” a club statement from Real Madrid, began.
“The player will be tied to the club for the next six seasons, until the 30th of June 2025,” it added of Jovic, who contributed 27 goals in all competitions to the cause of Frankfurt this season as they placed in the Bundesliga table and also reached the Europa League semi-final, losing to eventual winners, Chelsea, on penalties.
Madrid’s offer for 21-year-old Jovic, who has 13 appearances under his belt for Serbia on the international scene, was too good to reject, according to Frankfurt’s sporting director, Fredi Bobic.
“In sporting terms, Luka Jovic is a big loss for us. It was clear that we would not be able to turn down offers of a certain size,” he said.
